David E. Kelley is teaming up with CNN's chief medical correpondent Dr. Sanjay Gupta to write a medial drama series entitled Chesea General.
Collidor are reporting that David E. Kelley will be returing to cable television as TNT have greenlit a pilot for the show, which will be based on the novel Monday Mornings, scribed by Gupta that is released in March.
The book follows the lives of five surgeons "as they push the limits of their abilities and confront their personal and professional failings."
Apparently the name of the show Monday Mornings, comes from the monday Morbidity and Mortality conferences that were held each week, which served as a place for physicians to review cases which had resulted in the patients death, so that they could assess complications and errors that occured during the patient cares.
Kelley has been in television for years, having been signed to long term deal with Warner Bros. that expired in May. Kelley has previously created the CBS drama Chicago Hope and The Practice.
