Netflix Unveils 'House of Cards' Season 2 Extended Trailer

Forget flowers and chocolates this coming Valentine's Day; I'll take blood, vengeance and Frank Underwood, thank you very much.

Netflix posted the extended trailer for the second season of 'House of Cards,' and boy oh boy, does it look good. And when I say "good," I mean tragic and thrilling, which is how I would describe my attraction to Kevin Spacey's despicably charming House Majority Whip-turned-Vice President Underwood.

In the second season, Underwood has masterfully murdered -- I mean, manipulated -- his way into the White House, but reporter (and Underwood's former hookup) Zoe Barnes (Kate Mara) is inching her way closer to unveiling Underwood's underhanded ways.

The trailer's debut for the Emmy-winning series comes at a perfect time: the show picked up four Golden Globe nominations yesterday, including Best Drama Series and acting nods for Spacey and Robin Wright, who plays his savvy wife, Claire.

"For those of us who are climbing to the top of the food chain, there can be no mercy," says Underwood. "Let the butchery begin..." Oooh! I am getting chills just thinking about what that means: do more people die? Do more people lose their jobs? Or is Underwood referring to his love for delicious ribs?

We'll be able to find out for ourselves when the second season debuts in its entirety -- all 13 episodes -- on the top streaming service on Feb. 14, 2014.
