Season 5 'of The Voice' didn't even end 24 hours ago, but NBC already dropped some major news for the singing competition's sixth installment: Shakira and Usher are back.
Yes, the duo, who were judges during Season 4, will reunite with series regulars, Blake Shelton and Adam Levine, effectively replacing Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green.
'The Voice' has cemented itself as a powerhouse amid a sea of singing reality shows; it averaged 14.7 million viewers overall with its Monday edition, and 14 millions viewers overall on Tuesdays, making it the one of the top-rated Monday and Tuesday series on the broadcast networks so far this season. One could argue that its popularity had much to do with recent Sexiest Man Alive, Adam Levine (OK, maybe that's just my argument), but those who have tuned in this season can attest to the legit talent of its contestants and the fun chemistry between the judges; factors which probably have more to do with its massive ratings than sexy Levine (but just a little bit more).
Last night marked the season finale of 'The Voice,' with Tessanne Chin, who was on Team Adam, winning the title, thus marking the end of Shelton's three-season winning streak.
The sixth season of 'The Voice' returns in a special two-night premiere on Monday, Feb. 24, and Tuesday, Feb. 25.
