A comic book rival is headed for ‘The Big Bang Theory,’ and no, he’s not gunning for Sheldon (Jim Parsons), Leonard (Johnny Galecki), Howard (Simon Helberg) or Raj (Kunal Nayyar).
TVLine exclusively reports that Josh Peck (known for his ‘Drake & Josh' days on Nickelodeon) is coming to the hit CBS comedy as Stuart’s (Kevin Sussman) mortal enemy.
According to Steve Molaro, ‘Big Bang’s showrunner, “Josh will be playing the owner of the rival — and extremely successful — comic book store.” It doesn’t stop there, as his character’s store is described as “incredible looking and filled with customers.”
I can only imagine how Stuart will handle the situation, not to mention how he’ll get his fellow comic book lovers (Sheldon and the gang) to help him battle this comic rival. Do you think the guys will give up on Stuart and head over to the rival shop? We know how these geeky, but beloved, men are when it comes to their favorite superheroes.
Peck’s been having a good TV year, as he has a co-starring role in Amazon’s pilot ‘The Rebels.’ His guest starring roles don’t end there, as Peck’s been known to show up on FOX’s ‘The Mindy Project,' where he portrays Ray-Ron, Tamra’s (Xosha Roquemore) loser boyfriend.
‘The Big Bang Theory’ welcomes Peck on its Jan. 9 episode, which will air at 8/7c on CBS.
