Bravo is speaking directly to my inner fangirl. Today, the network announced it will air a New Year’s Eve marathon of FOX’s comedy ‘The Mindy Project.’
For those who haven’t seen the first season you’re out of luck this time around, as Bravo is choosing to air 11 episodes of the current second season (all in chronological order). No worries, because the second season is just as fantastic as the first. After all, you get to see the addition of Adam Pally’s character, Peter Prentice, not to mention James Franco, Timothy Olyphant, Jenna Elfman, Glenn Howerton, and a bunch of other celebs, guest starring.
Despite the series not earning the greatest ratings, and the fact that FOX is pulling ‘Mindy’ from its schedule from Jan. 28 to April 1 (this is no April Fool’s joke), maybe this will give others time to catch up and appreciate the talent that is Mindy Kaling (Mindy Lahiri), Ike Barinholtz (Morgan Tookers), Chris Messina (Danny Castellano), Ed Weeks (Jeremy Reed) and the rest of the OB/GYN New York City gang.
For me, someone who loves marathons and binge-watching, this sounds like the perfect way to ring in the New Year. However, it’d be even better if Mindy, Morgan, and especially Danny, actually showed up in my living room with drinks, jokes and, of course, Danny’s fantastic dance moves.
Now that’s what I call the perfect celebration!
The marathon will air from 8:30 a.m.- 2 p.m. PST on Tuesday, Dec. 31.
