-It’s official, after two seasons, Katie Couric’s talk show, ‘Katie,’ has been cancelled. Despite no third season, Couric will join Yahoo! as a global anchor.
-According to E! News, Malin Akerman’s character on ABC’s ‘Trophy Wife’ will be getting an iconic actress as her mother. That’s right, Cybill Shepherd is joining the comedy in 2014, where she’ll guest as Cricket, "a fun-loving, spontaneous wild child whose arrival quickly throw's Kate's (Akerman) family life into chaos.” She’ll pop up at the end of Episode 17, but will also appear in Episode 18.
-After quite a bit of speculation, Demi Lovato confirmed to reporters that she is indeed leaving the ‘The X Factor.’ The singer/actress is looking to work on new music and tour in 2014.
-Actor Dylan Bruno (‘Numb3rs’) is heading to ’NCIS: LA’, TVGuide.com exclusively reports. The actor will portray former Army intelligence officer Robert Brown, who is said to be “athletic, together and unsuspecting.” He’s apparently on the run from powerful people.
-Eric Ladin (‘Boardwalk Empire’) is joining the HBO pilot/dark comedy ‘The Brink’ as a regular, where he’ll play Lieutenant Glenn Taylor, wingman to Pablo Schreiber’s Callahan.
-If you love Gordon Ramsay, and watching him cook with kids, then here’s some exciting news. Yesterday, FOX’s ‘Masterchef Junior’ was picked up for a second season.
-Get ready for more sinful television, as FOX is developing a limited series titled ‘7 Deadly Sins.’ David Mamet (‘Glengarry Glen Ross’) will executive produce the series based on, obviously, the seven deadly sins.
