WATCH: HBO Releases New Trailer for Dramedy ‘Looking’
HBO’s new dramedy ‘Looking’ is quickly making its way to the small screen (it debuts Jan. 19), and to hold fans over who are anxiously awaiting to see former ‘Glee’ star Jonathan Groff in the series, the network has released another trailer!
As you can see for yourself below, ‘Looking’ follows three gay friends who are struggling with work, to find love and maintain relationships in the city of San Francisco. Groff stars as Patrick, Murray Bartlett (‘Guiding Light’) plays Dom and Frankie J. Alvarez (‘Smash’) as Agustín.
In addition to being best friends, Patrick, Dom and Agustín are all at different points in their lives, especially in the dating world. As the trailer illustrates, the trio aren’t strangers when it comes to fun, but when it comes to real-life situations, Groff’s character says it best, “I don’t know if either of us are very good at being who we think we are.”
The trailer also depicts Patrick’s potential relationship with Richie (Raúl Castillo), Dom’s possible romance with Lynn (Scott Bakula) and Agustín’s troubles as an artist. It also looks like Patrick may have a thing for his boss, played by British actor Russell Tovey, which might be somewhat awkward, as Patrick tell his co-worker, “I asked out my boss while straddling a torpedo.”
Check out the trailer for yourself, and be sure to watch ‘Looking’ when it debuts on Sunday, Jan. 19 at 10:30/9:30c on HBO. Also, stay tuned for some upcoming teasers from the series, which I’ll be posting soon.
