After 'Veronica Mars' ended in 2007, I was devastated. So devastated. I just wanted to watch more. I was hoping the show would be reborn under a new network. I also, wanted a movie. Well, all of the fans wanted a movie; so seven years later, here we are!
After a successful Kickstarter campaign, director, Rob Thomas, raised 5.7 million dollars to make the 2004 TV series into a movie. You can thank over 91,000 kickstarter backers, including some lucky guy/gal who donated 10,000 dollars in order to receive a speaking part in the movie.
The trailer appeared on E! late Thursday night, and anticipating fans were able to watch a world where teenage private investigator, Veronica (Kristen Bell) is no longer a teenager, but a big-shot lawyer. Oh, how time flies. Veronica is contacted by her former love, Logan Echolls (Jason Dohring) after he is accused of murdering his girlfriend. Of course, Logan is innocent (I hope) and Veronica is willing to put her life on the line to solve this hideous crime. The trailer looks a tad sinister, with the guns and car chases. But, what else would you expect from Veronica?
My favorite line of the trailer is when her dad says, "[Veronica] are you sure you know that breaking and entering is a felony?" Veronica responds, "Come on, I knew the felonies before I knew the state capitals."
The character I look most forward to watching: Keith Mars (Enrico Colantoni), as Veronica's overprotective father.
So at the end of the series Logan beats up Piz and Veronica stares longingly at Logan, and in the movie Veronica is with Piz but as soon as Logan is in a little bit of trouble she leaves him and ends up with Logan - can't Piz catch a break ? (though I've probably got this all wrong cos my speakers are broke so watched the trailer without any sound)
