It's been over 20 years since John Travolta and Kirstie Alley made us fall in love with their 'Look Who's Talking' counterparts. But it seems true (TV) love never dies, which is why the former on-screen flames are about to reignite that romantic spark on the small screen.
People magazine reports that Travolta is gearing up to guest star on Alley's new TV Land sitcom 'Kirstie' and will play a hunky, yet totally inept stagehand, who falls for Alley's Broadway diva character, Maddie, after a one-night stand. The episode is set to air on Jan. 8.
Alley explained to the magazine that Travolta "created his character and made him as dumb as dirt. We had a really, really good time!" And while it undoubtedly won't be the same as a James-Mollie reunion (unless they plan to somehow incorporate a Bruce Willis-voiced fetus into the mix, which we'd fully support), it will still be nice to see these two reunited once more, in any capacity.
The two actors have remained close friends throughout the years and even appeared together during Alley's stint on 'Dancing With the Stars.' Their chemistry is undeniable, so whether you're a fan of 'Kirstie' or not, it may be worth tuning in just to see what kind of comedic trouble this pair will cook up.
'Kirstie' airs on Wednesdays at 10/9c on TV Land.
