[WARNING: If you are not caught up on 'Sherlock' and have no desire to learn anything about Sunday night's upcoming episode, read no further. Spoilers ahead!]
New Year's Day kicked 2014 off with a bang for those lucky 'Sherlock' fans who were able to catch Season 3's very first episode 'The Empty Hearse,' which was released in the U.K. But that's only the tip of the deductive iceberg.
BBC One has now released an exclusive new photo from Jan. 5's episode, 'The Sign of Three' on their Facebook page, which shows a very dapper Dr. John Watson with his equally handsome best man Sherlock Holmes. That's right...wedding bells are in the air for our beloved doctor, who became romantically involved with the lovely Mary Morstan (Amanda Abbington) sometime after Sherlock's faux death.
As suspected, Sherlock looks absolutely thrilled (cough, cough) with the prospect of having to share his partner in crime(solving). And just think of what his best man speech will be like...that is, assuming everything goes according to plan...which, given this show's track record seems highly unlikely.
But no matter how things turn out, let's all take a moment (or two or ten) and relish the fact that this adorable bromance is back and stronger than ever. Top hats and all!
'Sherlock' will air 'The Sign of Three' Sunday, Jan. 5 on BBC One in the U.K. and will make its series premiere in the States on Sunday, Jan. 19.
