'Game of Thrones' fans may still have a while to wait until the fantasy drama series returns later this spring, but that doesn't mean there can't be a few teasers to help satiate our Iron Throne appetite along the way.
'GoT' fans have now been given their very first glimpse of "The Mountain" after Icelandic actor Hafþór Júlíus Björnsson, took to Instagram to reveal himself in full costume as Gregor “The Mountain” Clegane — the show's newest cast member. But don't let that smiley demeanor fool you. Given what we know about George R.R. Martin's novels, this character is going to be anything but friendly.
Björnsson will be the third actor to take up the mantle of the brutal brother to Sandor "The Hound" Clegane (Rory McCann). Actor Conan Stevens first played The Mountain for two episodes of the series' first season, while Ian Whyte took over the role during Season 2.
And though the character was a no-show in Season 3, he should have quite the interesting part to play in Season 4 considering all that goes down in the books. But that's all we'll say about that...
Check out the full picture Björnsson posted on the social media site below, along with the caption: "Game of thrones season 4 #dubrovnik #got #mountain #croatia #sword #big #lovethis." His excitement seems to reflect our own. Season 4 just can't come soon enough!
