Here’s some good news for fans of the HBO network. Premiere dates have been unveiled (today at the winter TCA's) for some critically acclaimed shows on television, including ‘Game of Thrones’ and ‘Veep.’
For those excited to head back to Westeros, ‘Game of Thrones’ Season 4 will return Sunday, April 6 at 9/8c. That’s not all of the ‘GoT’ news. An official trailer, which fans have been anticipating, is also on its way. Before the premiere of ‘True Detective,’ the season preview will debut (wait for it) this Sunday! Be sure to check back to TVRage for the video sometime this weekend.
Speaking of ‘True Detective,’ which stars Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson, debuts this Sunday, Jan. 12 at 10/9c. Click here for our latest scoop and review on the anticipated investigative drama.
Following the premiere of ‘Game of Thrones’ will be ‘Veep’ Season 3, starring Julia Louis-Dreyfus (‘Seinfeld,’ ‘The New Adventures of Old Christine’), who won an Emmy for her leading role. The comedy airs at 10/9c.
Right after ‘Veep,’ HBO’s new comedy from ‘King of the Hill’s Mike Judge, ‘Silicon Valley,’ will premiere at 10:30/9:30c. It said to be “a high-tech gold rush of modern Silicon Valley, where the people most qualified to succeed are the least capable of handling success.”
The ‘Silicon Valley’ cast includes Thomas Middleditch, TJ Miller, Zach Woods, Kumail Nanjiani, Martin Starr, Josh Brener, Christopher Evan Welch and Amanda Crew.
If that isn’t enough TV goodness, Season 2 of ‘Vice’ returns Friday, March 14 at 11/10c, ‘The Leftovers’ is coming this summer, and ‘The Normal Heart,’ brought to us by Ryan Murphy, will launch in May.
