And the good news just keeps on coming! Just in case there wasn't enough to get excited over today, HBO announced during its Television Critics Association winter press tour panel that it has decided to renew 'Girls' for a fourth season. So it looks like Hannah Horvath & Co. are here to stay!
This exciting bit of news comes mere days before the NYC comedy's Season 3 premiere (click here if you're interested in a few teasers!), which will air two special back-to-back episodes on Sunday. And here we thought last year's Season 3 pick-up was impressive after only two episodes had aired. This year it's before it even premieres. Talk about being on a roll!
The series — created by the ever-so-talented Lena Dunham — is scheduled to start shooting in spring and premiere sometime in early 2015. And while fans are most likely not surprised by the network's fast decision to greenlight another season, they're undoubtedly happy to officially hear it all the same.
In 2013, 'Girls' took home two Golden Globes for Best Comedy and Best Actress in a TV Comedy (Dunham), and will compete for the former yet again this Sunday. So there could still be lots of celebrating to come for this show. We'll just have to wait and see.
'Girls' kicks off its Season 3 premiere Sunday, Jan. 12 at 10/9c on HBO. But in the meantime, here are a few photos from the first episode of the third installment. Enjoy and start getting pumped for Sunday!
