-Starz’s freshman season of ‘Outlander’ hasn’t even aired yet, but the cable network is already discussing Season 2. Based on Diana Gabaldon’s ‘Outlander’ time-travel romantic novels, Starz CEO Chris Albrecht told Deadline, “I would be shocked if we didn’t do the second book.” Season 1, which consists of 16 episodes, is currently filming and is set to air this summer on Starz.
-'True Blood' is soon coming to an end, which means fans want a movie of their favorite vampire HBO series. Well, according to BuzzFeed, HBO is denying movie rumors, especially after they came from Stephen Moyer. As the network told BuzzFeed, “Nothing at all to confirm.”
-Brittany Snow (‘American Dreams,’ ‘Harry’s Law,’ ‘Ben and Kate’) has nabbed the female leading role in ABC’s comedy pilot ‘An American Education,’ Deadline reports. Snow will play Sarah McIntyre, “an earnest and book-smart chemistry teacher who is the object of Alfie’s (Jack Whitehall) eye as her current boyfriend is leaving the country.”
-NBC has picked up another thriller drama pilot. ‘Coercion,’ based on the Israeli series ‘The Gordin Cell,’ revolves around the O’Connor family and their son, Alex, who is a decorated American war hero and CIA analyst. Things get interesting when it’s revealed that his parents and sister are part of a recently reactivated Russian sleeper cell. Soon enough, the parents are forced to spy on their own son.
