Jack Bauer is back and better than ever! Today, at the Television Critics Association winter press tour, FOX announced the premiere date for ‘24: Live Another Day,’ cast additions and other spring premieres fans can look forward to.
Let’s start with ‘24,’ which will shoot in London and pick up four years after the series finale. This May, Kiefer Sutherland returns to the network and character that he’s most famous for, the one and only Jack Bauer. The 12-episode event series, ‘24: Live Another Day,’ debuts with two hours of badassness on Monday, May 5 (the series will regularly air Mondays at 9/8c).
If that isn’t exciting enough, ‘24’ has also added ‘Chuck’ alum Yvonne Strahovski to its cast, TVLine reports. She joins the event series in a major role, where she’ll play Kate Morgan, “a brilliant but impulsive CIA field operative in London.” Kim Raver, William Devane, Mary Lynn Rajskub, Judy Davis, Gbenga Akinnagbe and Giles Matthey also star.
In addition to the ‘24’ business, FOX also announced its other spring premieres. ‘Surviving Jack,’ a new comedy starring ‘Law & Order: SVU’s Chris Meloni, debuts Thursday, March 27 at 8:30/7:30c. Then, drama ‘Gang Related,’ starring Terry O’Quinn and Emilio Rivera, premieres Tuesday, May 20, after the Part One ‘American Idol’ finale.
