'Hannibal' Serves Up Season 2 Trailer, Casts Love Interest for [SPOILER]
Here's a little something that's sure to whet your appetite. After months of teasing fans with creepy poster after creepy poster, NBC is finally giving viewers their first real taste of what to expect from 'Hannibal's second season with a brand new, full-length trailer. And, as we all suspected, things aren't looking too good for poor Will Graham (Hugh Dancy).
Falsely imprisoned for Hannibal's crimes, this wronged FBI profiler has a warning message for his former friend: “I’m going to remember, and when I do, there will be a reckoning.” So it's probably safe to say that this twisted bromance is officially dunzo.
Meanwhile, Dr. Lector (Mads Mikkelsen) continues to develop a close relationship with the FBI's Jack Crawford (Laurence Fishburne), though something tells us this alliance won't last long given what goes down between the two of them in the trailer. (Let's just say, it's a bloody good time). Oh, and did we mention this was all set to a haunting cover of 'Stand By Me'?
But if the trailer is the main course, then this latest bit of casting news is the cherry atop this gory... uh...we mean gourmet dessert. TVLine has exclusively learned that the series has recruited Canadian actress Katharine Isabelle ('Ginger Snaps,' 'American Mary') to join the Season 2 cast as Margot — a potential romantic interest for Will, who also happens to be a patient of The Carnivorous One.
Though her character is described as both beautiful and compelling, Margot has suffered several years of abuse at the hands of her serial-killer twin brother. Bottom line: Girl's got some major issues to deal with, so obviously Will is drawn to her. Because OF COURSE he is. Isabelle is scheduled to make her grand entrance in Episode 8 and will stick around for at least four episodes.
Feast your eyes on the trailer below, and get ready to embrace the madness starting Friday, Feb. 28 at 10/9c on NBC.
