'Once Upon a Time' Shocker: [SPOILER] Will Say Farewell

'Once Upon a Time' Shocker: [SPOILER] Will Say Farewell

If you hate spoilers, or any scoop, from your favorite TV shows, then head to a faraway land (like Neverland), because TVLine has just magically served up some major scoop from ‘Once Upon a Time.’

As they say, not everyone gets a happy ending, and that's definitely the case for a major character (a series regular) on ABC’s hit fairytale show. Series creators Adam Horowitz and Eddy Kitsis exclusively told TVLine that by the end of ‘OUAT’s third season someone will meet his/her demise.

“The character dies, for real,” Kitsis makes clear. So, who is most likely to leave the series?

Well, it could be savior Emma Swan (Jennifer Morrison), hopeful Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin), romantic Charming (Josh Dallas), devious/misunderstood Regina (Lana Parrilla), heroic Henry (Jared Gilmore), beautiful Hook (Colin O’Donoghue), good-hearted Belle (Emilie de Ravin) or lovable Neal (Michael Raymond-James).

Kitsis and Horowitz have ruled out Robert Carlyle (Rumplestiltskin), since he “died” in the last episode (which could have been a season finale it was that brilliant), after he vanquished Peter Pan (Robbie Kay) aka his father.

It doesn’t seem possible that the show could go on without any of these major characters, but again, this is “for real,” and the character and his/her portrayer will leave the series for good. Let the heartbreak and tears begin.

‘Once Upon a Time’ returns Sunday, March 9 at 8/7c on ABC.

I doubt it will be Reina as she has not met up with Robin Hood yet who is her "soul mate". The obvious choice would be Belle. But she will either need to die heroicly or just simply say she's leaving. It makes no sense story-wise to keep her character going.

Meghan Ory hasn't been part of this entire season, so she's not a series regular anymore, and thus cannot be the series regular who will be meeting his/her demise. So unless there are some unknown contractual issues with a member of the cast, I'm sticking with my earlier predictions: either Belle or Regina.

I would expect it's Meghan Ory as she is now a regular on a new series "Intelligence". Judging by my own quick survey of IMDB, she's the only one, aside from maybe Raphael Sbarge who has another major gig happening.

So... what's the spoiler?

Well, if Rumple isn't returned from the dead in some way, then it'll probably be Belle, seeing as her main purpose in the show was to give him a bit of humanity. So with him gone, there really isn't much use in keeping her around. Hook would be a possibilty, but I don't think they would have set up this love triangle with him and Emma and Neal if they were planning on killing him off this season. Besides, he seems to be too popular with the fans. The only other possibilty, seeing as the rest of the cast seems too central to the story, would be Regina. Seeing as she ended her curse and now appears to be the not quite so evil queen, her role seems to have played itself out, and it would make sense to write her out and introduce some other big bad villain. So, depending on whether Rumple makes it back or not, I'd go with either Belle or Regina.
