'Full House' Cast to Partially Reunite for Super Bowl Commercial
A few months back, the Internet was collectively taken in by a well written hoax, one that purported the development of a 'Full House' sequel series centering on the families of now grown-up sisters D.J. and Stephanie Tanner. The reaction to the news was almost entirely positive, leading to a collective sigh of annoyance when it turned out to be a false report.
While that still isn't happening, 'Full House' fans can now take a bit of solace in the fact that Danny, Uncle Jesse, and Joey will soon reunite on-screen for the first time almost 20 years, albeit only for a few minutes. Yogurt maker Dannon today announced that actors Bob Saget, John Stamos, and Dave Coulier will be reprising their classic roles for a commercial set to air during Super Bowl XLVIII.
To build anticipation from the teeming masses of 'Full House' devotees (and make no mistake, the show's audience grows every year reruns continue to air in syndication), Dannon has released a 30-second teaser spot for the ad, featuring Danny, Jesse, and Joey asking themselves a completely logical question about their living situation.
The commercial serves to promote Dannon's Oikos brand of Greek yogurt, and a few more videos of the guys goofing around together can be found here. For those who grew up with the Tanner clan, seeing these three men together is like mainlining nostalgia. Tune in to the big game on Sunday, Feb. 2 to see what other hijinks they get up to.
