The untitled Netflix family drama -- the one that is finally bringing Emmy-winner Kyle Chandler back to the small screen -- has found its black sheep.
Aussie actor Ben Mendelsohn ('The Dark Knight Rises') has landed the major role in the psychological thriller from Todd A. Kessler, Daniel Zelman and Glenn Kessler, the creators of FX/DirecTV's critically-acclaimed 'Damages.'
The 13-episode run series, produced by Sony Pictures TV, focuses on a family of adult siblings, whose dark secrets (aka major baggage), come to light when their black sheep older brother, Danny, returns home.
Chandler plays the married middle brother, John, who's described as the caretaker of the family, and basically the antithesis of Danny. (Fun trivia fact: Chandler is actually four years older than Mendelsohn, but I guess his twinkly eyes make him look younger or something...)
Though Mendelsohn is best known for his movie roles ('Killing Them Softly,' 'A Place Beyond the Pines,'), he's also appeared in a few Australian television series, and had a guest role on 'Girls' last season.
No word on other casting, but this is shaping up to be one hot family.
Filming is set to begin in March in the Florida Keys.
