The cast of the new Netflix drama from the creators of 'Damages' is sure shaping up to be a great one. It was announced today that 'Freaks and Geeks' alum Linda Cardellini will be joining the cast of the new series.
The actress joins previously announced Kyle Chandler and Ben Mendelsohn in the untitled psychological thriller centering on a family of adult siblings whose secrets come out when their black sheep brother returns home.
Cardellini will play Meg, an attorney and the youngest of the four siblings. She's described as "warm" and "fun" and who basically charms her way through life. But, as we all know, one can never judge a book by its cover, so she's probably holding onto a whole lot of baggage.
Chandler plays the middle brother, John, the caretaker of the family, while Mendelshon plays the blacksheep, the eldest brother, Danny. With Cardellini's casting, there lies one more spot in the family, and I'm pretty excited to see who else joins this weird and dark family.
Thirteen episodes have already been ordered, and shooting begins next month.
Meanwhile, you can catch the former 'Mad Men' and 'ER' actress on 'New Girl' when Cardellini guest stars as Zooey Deschanel's onscreen sister.
