'Once Upon a Time' is gearing up to add yet another 'Lost' alum to its casting line-up. E! News exclusively reports that creators Adam Horowitz and Eddy Kitsis are about to welcome Eric Lange into the fairytale fold to fill an upcoming key role in the second half of the show's fourth season.
The actor — recognized for his 'Lost' role as Season 5's Stuart Radzinsky — will play the part of a young version of his royal highness, Prince Leopold. And if you're wondering why the name sounds a little familiar, that's because we've already met his older-version counterpart, King Leopold, who grows up to become Snow White's father.
As part of one of the series' traditional fairytale flashbacks, fans will get to see a glimpse of the prince during his bachelor days. But it's not all parties and strip clubs (did they even have those back then?) for this young ruler-to-be.
Hoping to forego an arranged marriage, Leopold looks to find a wife whom he can actually love and trust to help rule the kingdom. (It's easy to see where Snow gets her romantic notions from.) Unlike many other kings (cough, King George), Lange's Leopold is described as being both grounded and humble. And given the type of daughter he eventually raises, we'd say that's pretty accurate.
'Once Upon a Time' returns Sunday, March 9 at 8/7c on ABC.
