'The Blacklist' has wasted no time in grabbing up some of Hollywood's finest stars to visit the freshman series, which now also includes the likes of former 'Fringe' and 'American Horror Story: Coven' star Lance Reddick.
TVGuide exclusively reports that the actor has landed a guest-starring role on the NBC hit show, playing "The Cowboy" — one of Reddington's (James Spader) many assets. However, when Red gives him a new assignment, the results will apparently leave Red "in shock." It's unclear what exactly that means, but given this show's history it most likely won't end well for anyone involved.
Furthermore, Reddick's appearance will coincide with the introduction to Dianne Wiest's character, who (as we reported last week) will serve as the head of Amnesty United, an organization created to fight the death penalty.
Perhaps she's the target of Reddick's "new assignment" from Red? Maybe they have to team up together? The possibilities are pretty much endless on this show (which is one of the many things we love about it). Both actors will make their debut in Episode 15, titled “The Judge (#57)."
Aside from his long-standing run as Phillip Broyles on 'Fringe,' Reddick has most recently made a big TV splash in his memorable role as Papa Legba (aka the Voodoo devil) in FX's 'Coven.' He also currently plays the Director of Central Intelligence, Jeffrey Tetazoo, in CBS's cyber-themed, action-adventure series 'Intelligence.'
'The Blacklist' returns with a brand new episode Monday, Feb. 24 at 10/9c on NBC.
