ABC Family Cancels 'Pretty Little Liars' Spin-Off 'Ravenswood'

ABC Family Cancels 'Pretty Little Liars' Spin-Off 'Ravenswood'

It looks like there will be no more ghosts, curses, pacts and deaths on ABC Family's 'Ravenswood,' because the new supernatural series was just axed.

This means the Feb. 4 episode (Episode 10 of the first and, now, only season) will count as the series finale. I guess we'll never know what will happen between Original Caleb Rivers, ghost Miranda and the alive and kicking version of Caleb Rivers (both Caleb's are/were played by Tyler Blackburn). Confusing? Yes, but 'Ravenswood' followers get what I'm saying.

Oh, and what about that creepy little girl Max? Did Dillon really get killed by the train? What about Mr. Collins and Mrs. Matheson? So many questions that will remain unanswered.

On the upside, this just might mean Blackburn could return to 'Pretty Little Liars,' where he originated the character of Caleb. There just might be hope for Caleb and Hanna (Ashley Benson) aka Haleb shippers, after all. Let's all rejoice!

Furthermore, since 'Ravenswood' was a spin-off of 'Liars,' I guess some of the characters could travel to Rosewood, where 'PLL' is based. But, of course, this is all pure speculation.

Just last year the concept of 'Ravenswood' was announced, in addition to Blackburn's exit from 'PLL.' Despite his departure, this hasn't prevented fans from tuning into 'PLL' to see what Hanna, Spencer (Troian Bellisario), Emily (Shay Mitchell), Aria (Lucy Hale) and the infamous "A" are up to.

'Ravenswood' also starred Nicole Gale Anderson, as Miranda, Brett Dier, as Luke, Merritt Patterson, as Olivia, and Britne Oldford, as Remy.

Well said @1:48 am. No red blooded man would leave a flesh and blood girl for a ghost. LOL.

I'm slightly disappointed, but not at all surprised. I wanted to like Ravenswood more, but I could never fully get on board with the story or the characters. Also, having Pretty Little Liars set in a "realistic" universe while Ravenswood was set in a supernatural universe, yet the shows exist in the same timeline with characters that cross over from one another was problematic for me. My biggest problem was that I never bought that Caleb would leave Hanna, who is still being menaced by A, and drop everything to stay in Ravenswood to help a stranger he just met on a bus. It was like suddenly the whole unsolved mystery in Rosewood, of which he was indirectly a part of (because of his girlfriend Hanna), was forgotten and no longer important. I like supernatural shows and I liked the cast (mostly), but Ravenswood didn't click for me. :-(

Good riddance. It was a stupid spin off. Send Caleb home and back to his hot girl friend.
