Looks like Neve Campbell is eyeing a return to the small screen. The former 'Party of Five' star is in talks to join TNT's new drama series 'Guilt by Association.'
The project comes from former O.J. Simpson prosecutor, Marcia Clark, and is based on Clark's book by the same name.
The premise of the series, sounding awfully similar to TNT's other crime drama, 'Rizzoli & Isles,' centers on Rachel Knight (Campbell), a gutsy Deputy District Attorney in the Special Trials Unit of the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office, who pals around with, Bailey Keller, a tough female LAPD detective and Toni LaCollette, a fashionable prosecutor. Apparently Bailey and Toni regularly crash at Rachel's pad (too much wine, perhaps?) when they're not helping with each other's cases. It was previously announced that Elisabeth Rohm ('Law & Order') will portray Bailey, while 'The L Word's Rose Rollins has been cast as Toni.
As like most "gutsy" characters, Rachel is described as being "unorthodox" who believes that evidence is for wimps. Sounds like she's trouble. Well, even on 'Party of Five' Campbell's character, Julia, never really played by the book, either.
Besides starring on the FOX family drama, Campbell appeared on ABC's 'Grey's Anatomy' as one of Derek Shepherd's (Patrick Dempsey) sisters, as well as the Lifetime telepic 'An Amish Murder.'
'Nashville' showrunner Dee Johnson will produce the series, just in case you didn't think there was enough estrogen invovled with the show.
