The cast of the new Netflix drama series from 'Damages' creators (which desperately needs a title) keeps getting better looking with Deadline announcing that actress Jacinda Barrett has been added to the show.
Barrett is the latest of genetically-blessed and super-talented actors to join the 13-episode psychological thriller, which includes Kyle Chandler, Ben Mendelsohn, Linda Cardellini and Sissy Spacek. The project centers on a family of close-knit siblings, whose secrets come to light when their black sheep older brother, Danny (Mendelsohn) returns to town.
The Aussie-born Barrett will play the "strong-willed and devoted" wife of John (Chandler), the middle brother, who's described as the caretaker of the family. Cardellini plays the youngest sister, Meg, an attorney, who basically charms her way through her life, while Spacek has been cast as matriarch Sally, who, no doubt, has a few secrets of her own.
It was also announced that Swedish helmer Johan Renck ('Breaking Bad') will direct the opening episode of the series, which is scheduled to begin shooting next month in Florida.
Barrett has come a long way from first appearing on the small screen in 'The Real World: London' back in 1995. The former model co-starred on ABC's 'Zero Hour' and has even recurred on USA's 'Suits' (which also stars her real-life husband, Gabriel Macht). She's also set to recur on FOX's 'The Following.'
