Chris Harrison, the host of ABC's 'The Bachelor' filed for divorce from his wife, Gwen, after 19 years of marriage. He tweeted earlier "Gwen & I thank you for all the support. Nothing but love & respect between us & as always our priority is our kids". The split between the two came as a shock to a lot of people for the main reason that Chris has, for 8 seasons, been the type of relationship therapist to a lot of couples. No details as of yet as to why the pair split up, but both are being nice to one another and don't want this to hurt anyone they love. Chris and Gwen have two children that they have to think of as they split and as it turns out, the pair was separated during the filming of 'The Bachelorette'.
It seems that the Bachelor curse has finally caught up with Chris unfortunately as it has shown that very few Bachelors actually stick with their Final Rose girl through thick and thin. Chris stood as a beacon for the girls and guys who have been rejected and has offered moral support. Unfortunately for Chris, his marriage is coming to an end. After 19 years of marriage, it is clearly going to be hard for the two to reconnect with the dating scene once again. For some, it doesn't make sense as to why the couple would do this to begin with after all the years being together. However, everyone has their reasons and one can only hope that it isn't too bad.
Does this affect your willingness to watch 'The Bachelor' and the 'Bachelorette' at all? We wish Chris all the best in his new life and hope things stay friendly.
