The CW’s ‘Supernatural’ spin-off, ‘Supernatural: Tribes,’ just got a little more rugged with the addition of Sean Faris in a monstrous role.
The actor, known for his guest-spots on ‘Pretty Little Liars’ and ‘The Vampire Diaries,’ is coming to ‘Tribes’ as a werewolf. Faris is set to play Julian Durant, who comes from a wealthy werewolf clan and has no patience or love for the Haydens aka a family of shapeshifters. If you ask me, Faris’ role just sounds howl-tastic.
In addition to Faris, another ‘Vampire’ alum has joined the series. As we reported last week, Nathaniel Buzolic aka Original vampire Kol on ‘TVD’ snagged the role of shapeshifter David Hayden, who is now living the life of a human.
‘Episodes’ actor Lucien Laviscount is also coming to the project as resolute police academy trainee Ennis Roth. After his fiancée’s death, Ennis quickly becomes caught up in the world of supernatural creatures and becomes a hunter. I'm sure Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) can give him some useful hunting tips when the three meet in Episode 20 of ‘Supernatural’s current season.
Faris’ character is also brother to Violet Durant, another werewolf who has eyes for David. Julian’s also said to be Ennis’ arch-nemesis.
The spin-off will follow five monster families ruling the city of Chicago. Other supernatural characters we’ll meet include, Margo Hayden (David’s shapeshifter sister) and Freddie Costa (a Roth family friend with a secret).
We’ll meet each character on April 29, during ‘Supernatural’s Tuesday night airing at 9/8c on The CW.
