A ‘Heroes’ actress and a ‘Vampire Diaries’ actor are both getting ready to (once again) embrace their supernatural sides in the upcoming CW project ‘Supernatural: Tribes.’
It’s just been announced that Danielle Savre and Stephen Martines have snagged lead roles in the ‘Supernatural’ spin-off.
Savre, also known for her roles on ‘Summerland’ and ‘Hollywood Heights,’ will play Margo Hayden. Not only is she an ex-punk rocker gone corporate, but Margo is a strong-willed professional and determined shapeshifter ready to lead her family. However, there’s one problem, her brother’s returned and now she feels threatened.
As for Martines, who’s been spotted on ‘General Hospital’ and ‘Burn Notice,’ has been tapped to play Detective Freddie Costa. A world-weary Chicago cop and mentor to Ennis Roth, an old family friend, he also has a dark secret aka he’s on the payroll of one of the powerful monster families running the Windy City.
Just the other day Sean Faris (‘Pretty Little Liars’, ‘The Vampire Diaries’) joined the cast as Julian Durant, a wealthy werewolf with no patience for the Haydens. Lucien Laviscount (‘Episodes’) and Nathaniel Buzolic (‘The Vampire Diaries’) will also appear in the spin-off as Julian’s arch-nemesis/hunter, Ennis Roth, and reformed shapeshifter/brother to Margo, David Hayden, respectively.
The role of Violet Durant, Julian’s sister, has yet to be cast.
You can catch the 'Tribes' cast in Episode 20, the spin-off’s de-facto pilot, of ‘Supernatural’ airing on Tuesday, April 29 on The CW.
