The town of Bon Temps is about to induct another very attractive member into its vampiric ranks. Deadline exclusively reports that 'True Blood' has glamoured hired '90210' vet Riley Smith to star in a major recurring role during the HBO show's seventh and final season.
The actor will find himself among the undead, playing Keith — a sexy, brooding, rock ‘n’ roll vampire with a romantic side, who develops an immediate infatuation with none other than the town's newest bar owner and recent widow, Arlene Fowler-Bellefleur (Carrie Preston).
As of now, it's unclear if the feeling is mutal for our favorite Bon Temps red head (besides you, Jessica), given everything that happened with Terry, which may still be front and center in her mind (we know it is for us). However, we're sure this guy's advances would be pretty hard to resist.
But it's not just good looks this new vamp has going for him. He's also the drummer in fellow vampire James’ (Nathan Parsons) band. (As reported earlier, the former 'Bunheads' star recently took over the role of James, shortly following Luke Grimes’ departure.)
But back to the really important issue: there is going to be a band made up of extremely attractive vampires. Clearly this is the greatest idea ever. Kudos, writers!
Aside from his recurring role during '90210's final season, Smith has also appeared in The CW's 'Beauty and the Beast' and will star in Nicholas Sparks’ 'Deliverance Creek' on Lifetime.
