WATCH: First 'Mad Men' Season 7 Teaser Comes in for a Landing
Ladies and gentlemen, please keep your seat backs in their full upright position because AMC's very first 'Mad Men' promo is coming in for a landing!
Boy have we missed this show. In fact, we've missed it so much that it could probably show us a 15-second clip of pretty much anything — like Don Draper walking off a TWA airplane, for example — and we'd most likely still go crazy over it. Oh wait...that's exactly what happened.
Yes, after months and months of waiting, the network has finally released a small glimpse of what's to come for the show's highly anticipated seventh season. And when we say "small glimpse," we really mean it.
True, it isn't the most action-packed teaser you'll ever come across given the sheer fact that absolutely nothing happens — unless you consider the slow de-boarding of plane to be downright exciting. (No judgements here!) But MAN does this guy know how to wear the hell out of a suit. So at least its got that going for it.
The end of Season 6, found Don once again tumbling down a rabbit hole of booze and marital catastrophe, having cheated on his current wife Megan (Jessica Paré) multiple times with not only his neighbor Sylvia (Linda Cardellini), but his ex-wife Betty (January Jones) as well. And let's not forget how he was asked to take an extended leave of absence from work at Sterling Cooper & Partners.
In other words, life could be better.
So the one big question that remains is...where exactly is Don going in this clip? For someone whose world has recently been turned upside down, you can't help but notice how surprisingly refreshed and relaxed he looks. So what gives?
Is he on his way to find Megan? Is he interviewing for another job somwhere? Or was he merely solidifying his membership status of the Mile-High Club with one of the stewardesses. We'll just have to wait and see.
But in the meantime, fasten your seatbelts and check out the teaser trailer below:
'Mad Men' kicks off the first half of its final season Sunday, April 13 at 10/9c on AMC.
