Her part in the NBC ‘Iron Side’ reboot might not have panned out, but that isn’t stopping Spencer Grammer from taking on a role in ABC’s pilot ‘Saint Francis.’
The multi-camera comedy follows Francis Quinlan, played by ‘The Sopranos’ Michael Imperioli. Francis is described as a “no-nonsense, blue-collar Long Island cop and family man.” He isn’t the most easygoing, as he starts butting heads with the modern, liberal world after his 29-year-old sister, Heather, gets pregnant out of wedlock.
Enter Grammer, as she will take on the role of Heather. A bit of a born rebel and free spirit, she feels dominated by her older brother Francis, but that won’t prevent her from leading her own life and being as different from her brother as possible.
The comedy also stars ‘Criminal Minds’ Paget Brewster in a leading role. She’ll play Francis’ wife who is an age-obsessed woman dreading her upcoming 40th birthday. Despite her obsession with age, she holds the family together and shows constant support for Grammer’s Heather.
Grammer got her “big break” on ABC Family’s ‘Greek,’ where she portrayed Zeta Beta Zeta’s Casey Cartwright. She captured fans’ hearts as the tough, smart, bubbly, popular beautiful blonde who fought for what she wanted, especially when it came to men aka Cappie (Scott Michael Foster) and Evan Chambers (Jake McDorman).
Grammer's other TV credits include ‘CSI,’ ‘CSI: NY,’ and ‘As the World Turns.’
