WATCH: HBO Releases First Teaser Trailer for 'The Normal Heart'
What do you get when you combine an A-list cast with an epically powerful storyline? In 'The Normal Heart's case, it makes for one very inspirational night of television. Or at least, that's what the trailer seems to indicate anyway.
HBO has finally debuted the first official footage from the highly anticipated TV movie and it's already proving to be as monumentally stirring as fans hoped it would be.
Based on Larry Kramer’s Tony Award-winning play, 'Heart' focuses on the rise of the HIV-AIDS crisis in New York City between the years of 1981 and 1984, as seen through the eyes of fictional writer/activist Ned Weeks — the founder of a prominent HIV advocacy group. The character is actually based on Kramer himself.
Directed by Ryan Murphy ('American Horror Story,' 'Glee'), the film includes an all-star cast made up of Mark Ruffalo ('The Avengers'), Matt Bomer ('White Collar'), Taylor Kitsch ('Friday Night Lights'), Jim Parsons ('The Big Bang Theory'), and Julia Roberts ('August: Osage County').
“To win a war you have to start one," the promo declares. No truer words could better encapsulate the deep, heart-wrenching message of this project. So yeah, you may want to have a box of tissues (or two or three) on hand.

'The Normal Heart' premieres Sunday, May 25 at 9/8c on HBO.
With all the recent media exposure of homosexuality one could easily be led into thinking being gay has become some kind of fashion statement. I don't mind gay ppl at all. What I do mind, tho, is having my daily dose of entertainment saturated with gay contend that goes way above and beyond the normal "amount of homosexuality" you are exposed to in your every day life. This also has a significant impact on young ppl who should discover homosexuality on their own without the media pushing them headfirst into overexposed sexualized gay contend.

Movie channels get a vast influx of Gays recently? I'm starting to feel like one of the straight kids from South Park watching the world turn into Gaybies, Gay-Zombies( Is Zombay better?)
