As pilots casting season continues, a pair of ABC dramas are adding actors to their ranks, as ‘Exposed’ and ‘Agatha’ have announced they’ve added leading men to their ranks.
Ben Barnes has been tapped to star opposite Mary Elizabeth Winstead in ‘Exposed,’ a mystery drama that follows a headstrong investigative journalist named Anna (Winstead) on a quest for truth and (presumably) justice.
The British actor, who is perhaps best known for his work on the big screen as Prince Caspian on ‘The Chronicles of Narnia,’ will play the enigmatic Stoya. He is a figure who comes to develop an intimate relationship with Anna, claiming to be a pilot, but who is in fact a government whistleblower being hunted by the agency that he has left.
The pilot is based on a best-selling series of Swedish novels penned by Liza Marklund, and comes from writer Charles Randolph.
Elsewhere, Daniel Henney, who has recently enjoyed a recurring role on NBC’s ‘Revolution,’ will join the cast of ‘Agatha’ to play opposite Bojana Novakovic.
The Belgrade actress portrays the titular Agatha, a successful and desired convict-turned-criminologist. Henney will assume the role of Rey, Agatha’s very loving, very responsible and attentive fiancé.
Henney joins a cast that includes ‘Sleepy Hollow’s Clancy Brown, Aaron Ashmore and Erik Palladino. Curiously, as Novakovic is a regular on FOX’s ‘Rake,’ her status on the ABC show may change should both series find success.
