In what truly is a blast from the '90s angsty past, TV Guide has learned that 'Party of Five' alum Michael A. Goorjian is set to guest-star on USA's 'Covert Affairs' next season.
The actor will play Borz Altan, a former U.S. soldier who, like so many of us, became disillusioned with the "American Dream" ideology. He gets wrapped up in the 'Covert Affairs' world when Annie (Piper Perabo) begins investigating him, and she soon uncovers an imminent threat he may be connected to.
The new season of the popular spy drama will pick up with Annie re-entering the DPD, right after she faked her death to take down Henry (Gregory Itzin) in the Season 4 finale.
Goorjian is best known for his role as Justin on FOX's popular teen drama 'Party of Five,' in which he played Julia's (Neve Campbell) friend, and then later boyfriend (and also father of her miscarried baby). He's also an Emmy-winning actor, having picked up the trophy for his performance in the TV movie 'David's Mother' opposite Kirstie Alley, back in 1994. Since then, he's popped up on numerous shows, including FOX's 'Lie to Me' and 'House,' CBS' 'CSI: Miami,' ABC's 'Alias' and USA's 'Monk.'
Goorjian also retains his legendary '90s idol status thanks to roles in flicks, like 'Newsies,' 'Chaplin' and 'SLC Punk!'
The fifth season of 'Covert Affairs' airs this summer on USA.
