‘Nikita’s Maggie Q Joins Kevin Williamson’s CBS Stalker Pilot

Watch out, badass Maggie Q is heading to CBS.

The actress, known for her leading role on The CW’s ‘Nikita,’ has just booked the leading female role in Kevin Williamson’s (‘The Following,’ ‘The Vampire Diaries’) upcoming untitled stalker drama pilot.

The project revolves around two detectives dealing with stalking incidents for the Threat Management Unit of the LAPD. Enter Q, as she’ll play Detective Beth Davis. She is described as opinionated, obsessive and a workaholic, who’s also the division captain of the unit.

Q will star opposite of Dylan McDermott, who most recently starred in CBS’ limited series ‘Hostages.’ As we reported in early March, McDermott has been tapped to play the other detective, Jack Larsen. A recent New York transfer to the unit, Larsen is said to be confidant and quick-thinking, but he also has a troubled past that he wants to keep in the past.

In addition to Q and McDermott, ‘Devious Maids’ actress Mariana Klaveno has joined the potential series as Janice, an intelligent and underestimated, mainly because of her flashy appearance, Threat Assessment Unit detective. Should the pilot move forward, Klaveno will leave the Lifetime drama, which is returning soon for its second season.

Williamson will write and executive produce the thriller, while Liz Friedlander will direct the pilot. Friedlander’s also worked with Williamson on several other series, including ‘The Following,’ ‘TVD’ and ‘The Secret Circle.’
