WATCH: New Trailer Released for ‘24: Live Another Day’
Jack is back! Not only has FOX released an extended promo for the upcoming ‘24: Live Another Day’ event series, but a new piece of key art has also been unveiled.
As you can see to the left, the key art illustrates Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland), being badass as usual, and Chloe (Mary Lynn Rajskub) dirty, bloody and angry in the streets of London (where the series takes place).
Now, for the trailer. Again, we see Jack being his usual kick-ass self, but we also see the familiar faces of Tate Donovan, Kim Raver, William Devane, Benjamin Bratt and Yvonne Strahovski.
The video is filled with action and insists that “every second counts.” You’ll just have to watch for yourself.
The 12-episode event series revolves around Jack, who is now a fugitive (but, more likely a hero) being hunted by the CIA. The show picks up four years after the events of ‘24’s final season back in 2010, and as stated above, takes place in London, England.
I can only imagine why Jack is considered an “exile,” but I highly doubt he’s the villain, as that’s where Michelle Fairley (‘Game of Thrones’) comes into play. She’ll be playing Margot, a British national and the widow of a notorious terrorist.
‘24: Live Another Day’ will continue with it’s real-time action for each episode. It premieres Monday, May 5 on FOX.
"CTU got blanket surveillance powers and he hasn't happy." 24 was NSA revelations before fiction became reality. From day one CTU was the most invasive freedom destroying organization ever on television. Well, except for Spooks. Jack has ALWAYS been part of the problem NOT part of the solution. Just been to Wikipedia and checked the 24 timeline. The timeline, in 24 world, actually runs about 18.4 years from premiere start in 2010. Not six years in the future. According to it's own chronology this installment is in the year 2028. Almost 2029. Not only Amazon drones, but Robocop remake timeline.

Amazon Drones vs Googles Robots. Thats the future war ;)
Anyway, I'd like to see a twist were Jack is actually an Exile because he "pulled a Snowden" - CTU got blanket surveillance powers and he hasn't happy.
I have swithered over this ... when I first heard that 24 was coming back I was like "oh come on" surely this has had it's day etc and I felt the series had started to struggle for plot and storyline. However ... I'm actually really looking forward to this now, it'll be good to see KS back as Jack - I couldn't take him seriously in Touch and dumped that series halfway through S01. It does help that the excellent Yvonne Strahovski (brilliant in both Chuck and Dexter) is on board too.

Six years in the future. That must be an Amazon drone featured.
