It’s time to return to your calendars as this week continues to reveal summer premiere dates for new and returning anticipated series.
Yesterday we reported on NBC and FOX dates, as last week saw ABC and CBS staking their claim. Today, we add Syfy, Lifetime and BBC America to that list.
Season 2 of ‘Defiance’ will kick off Syfy’s summer slate, as the futuristic drama returns on Thursday, June 19 at 8/7c. Immediately after at 9 p.m., Syfy will unveil their new series ‘Dominion,’ a show based on the 2010 film ‘Legion’ that tells of a transformed world following a lengthy war between angels and humankind.
‘Dominion’ stars Christopher Egan as a young, rebellious soldier named Alex Lannen, a man who discovers he is the unlikely savior of humanity. The cast also includes Tom Wisdom, Roxanne McKee, Alan Dale, and Anthony Stewart Head.
Elsewhere, Lifetime’s ‘Flowers in the Attic’ sequel is set to air on Monday, May 26 at 9 p.m. ‘Petals in the Wind’ will see the return of Heather Graham and feature Rose McIver and Wyatt Nash as Cathy and Christopher Dollanganger, siblings and secret lovers. The parts of the children were recast as the sequel takes place a decade after the first story.
Lastly in premiere news, BBC America has announced that its zombie minisieres ‘In the Flesh’ will return for its six-part second season on Saturday, May 10 at 10 p.m.
