'True Blood' Reveals Final Season Premiere Date and First Official Teaser
If you're a sucker for 'True Blood' news (or just an actual bloodsucker), then we here at TVRage have some fang-tastic news for our fellow Truebies. HBO has finally announced an official premiere date for the vampire drama's seventh and final season, which will debut on Sunday, June 22 at 9/8c.
Along with seeing many of our old favorites (I'm looking at you, Lafayette!), the season — which will consist of a 10-episode run — will also introduce some new members into the fold as well, including '90210's Riley Smith as a brooding undead dude named Keith, and Nathan Parsons, who will be filling the role of James.
As previously reported, Luke Grimes, who originally portrayed the character, exited the series after the Season 6 finale.
And because the network realizes just how much waiting sucks for its fans, they've also decided to release the very first Season 7 teaser, which turns out to be a rather grave experience...quite literally!
Located in the Bon Temps graveyard, the camera eerily zooms in on a variety of tombstones with some very familiar names. (RIP Terry!) Which leaves viewers with one very important question — who else will be joining them by season's end?
Check out the clip below and get ready for what's sure to be an epic supernatural showdown.
In related news, Damon Lindelof’s rapture-esque drama 'The Leftovers' will premiere a week earlier on Sunday, June 15, at 10/9c on HBO.
