It's been nearly four years since '24' hero Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) saved the world for what everyone thought would be the final time, then retreated into fugitive exile. That was until FOX announced last year that Jack would be returning once again in a follow-up event series titled '24: Live Another Day.' The 12-episode revival will be set roughly four years after Season 8, and will feature a still wanted Jack trying to prevent a global catastrophe originating in London, England.
FOX has today released the first full trailer for '24: Live Another Day,' and it's embedded below for your viewing pleasure. The two-plus minute feature film quality trailer is amusingly deemed as appropriate for "real time audience members only."
That sure gets the blood pumping, huh? Sutherland looks to be back in ass kicking form as Bauer, with the odds as stacked against his success as they've ever been. The London setting should make for some inventive action set pieces, and new landmarks for Jack to run away from as they explode. The trailer also gives us a better look at the new cast members, including big names like Benjamin Bratt, Tate Donovan, and Yvonne Strahovski. As previously revealed, Mary Lynn Rajskub, Kim Raver, and William Devane are all reprising their old characters as well.
'24: Live Another Day' bursts onto the airwaves on Monday, May 5 at 8/7c. Despite only containing 12 episodes, the series will maintain the real time, one episode equals one hour format. The only difference is that some hours will be skipped.
This is like twenty years in the future according to 24 timeline. I better see Amazon drones and those Japanese realistic sex robots. Oh, and Jack is long overdue for a recon of the leather bars, too bad Tony is dead seemed right up his alley.....
