The eleventh season finale of CBS sitcom 'Two and a Half Men' is now set to be a family affair, as multi-platinum country music star Brad Paisley will appear alongside his wife, actress Kimberly Williams-Paisley.
Williams-Paisley is currently portraying Gretchen, Alan's (Jon Cryer) latest love interest, in a recurring role. According to an exclusive report by TVGuide, their relationship will be taking a big step forward during the finale. One would assume that the arrival of Brad's character will serve to complicate things.
Really though, did anyone actually expect Alan to be happy for very long? The guy is a perpetual magnet for despair. I fully expect Gretchen to leave him at the altar and run into the arms of her real life husband.
Who exactly the male half of the Paisleys will be playing is being kept under wraps, although it's a fairly logical assumption that he'll be an ex-boyfriend or husband of Gretchen's. It wouldn't be the first time they've played a couple on TV, having done so on the ABC sitcom 'According to Jim' back in 2003.
Paisley seems to be developing a fondness for CBS sitcoms, having just appeared as himself in an episode of Robin Williams fronted comedy 'The Crazy Ones' a few weeks ago. The episode also starred fellow musician Josh Groban.
The season finale of 'Two and a Half Men,' titled "Oh, Wald-e, Good Times Ahead" airs Thursday, May 8 at 9/8c. Somehow I doubt good times are really ahead for Alan.
