Currently in its fifth season, hit TV Land sitcom 'Hot in Cleveland' is going as strong as ever, having already added several names to its long list of veteran guest stars. In addition to 'Late Late Show' host Craig Ferguson and 'NewsRadio's Dave Foley appearing on a recurring basis, Season 5 has already featured guest shots by Alex Trebek, 'Community's Ken Jeong, Jamie Pressly, 'The Office's Angela Kinsey, and 'Reno 911's Thomas Lennon.
Next to be added to that list of notable small screen stars is '90s heartthrob Luke Perry, best known for his years playing resident bad boy Dylan McKay on the FOX drama 'Beverly Hills, 90210.' Unlike other '90210' cast members I could mention, Perry has kept busy ever since the show was canceled in 2000.
Perry fronted the cult favorite apocalyptic Showtime drama 'Jeremiah' for two seasons, and has since been featured in recurring roles on shows like 'Oz' and 'Body of Proof.'
According to TV Guide, Perry will arrive in 'Cleveland' for the annual "Birthdates" episode, in which the ladies (Valerie Bertinelli, Wendie Malick, Jane Leeves, and Betty White) all fix each other up on blind dates, usually with disastrous consequences of some kind.
Perry will play Victoria's (Malick) date, who is growing nose tissue on his forehead so that it can later be harvested by medical science for humanitarian purposes. This continues Victoria's losing streak in these episodes, as her dates always seem to have a bizarre physical defect. One even had a tail.
'Hot in Cleveland' airs Wednesdays at 10/9c. Luke Perry's appearance will air on Sep. 4.
