New 'True Blood' Season 7 Teaser Promises Lord of the Fangs
While many of us have most likely slipped into a post-Easter candy coma, HBO has been busy serving up a tasty treat of their own: a brand new 'True Blood' teaser! And boy does it not disappoint. Action, suspense, imminent death — this clip has everything a die-hard Truebie could ask for. Well almost everything...
Though the 36-second promo features many of our favorite cast members, such as Sookie (Anna Paquin), Bill (Stephen Moyer), Jason (Ryan Kwanten), Alcide (Joe Manganiello), Andy (Chris Bauer), and Sam (Sam Trammell), there is one prominent member missing from this merry band of supernaturals.
Alexander Skarsgård is, unfortunately, nowhere to be found, which does nothing to calm our nerves about the questionable fate of his character, Eric Northman. (Last we saw, things were getting pretty heated for him, though we can't complain about his wardrobe choice.)
But aside from the slight decrease in the series' sexy vamp quota, there's still a ton of exciting details to absorb concerning the trajectory of the final season. The Hep V vamps are out of control, causing the government to pretty much abandon the beloved residents of Bon Temps. So naturally, everyone's turning on each other in panic. (Just think of it as a supernatural 'Lord of the Flies' type of situation.) "There's no one left," Sookie declares.
So basically, at this point in the game, no one is safe...not even the un-dead. So break out another bag of jellybeans and chocolate bunnies and dive into the teaser below. We're (AB) positive you'll be thirsty for more!
'True Blood's seventh and final season will kick off Sunday, June 22 at 9/8c on HBO.
