Laura Prepon Will Be Back Full-Time For 'Orange Is The New Black' Season 3

Laura Prepon Will Be Back Full-Time For 'Orange Is The New Black' Season 3

The second season of Netflix's 'Orange Is the New Black' hasn't even launched yet, but fans of the show -- and of actress Laura Prepon -- already have something else to look forward to: the 'That '70s Show' alum will return to the show as a series regular for Season 3.

Prepon, who plays Alex Vause, the ex-girlfriend of Piper Chapman (Taylor Schilling), appeared as a regular during the show's hugely successful first season. But, according to BuzzFeed, Prepon didn't want to stick around to see what goes, uh, down in Season 2.

But after all the accolades and fist bumps and fan outcry that followed the drama's debut, Jenji Kohan, the show's creator, rejiggered the show's second season so that Prepon could appear in four episodes, instead of the initial one episode, which Prepon had first agreed upon.

Now it seems Prepon is all in again, and will rejoin the cast full-time for its third season. Oh, there's just one tiny catch though: the series hasn't been greenlighted for Season 3...yet. I mean, it's pretty much a given, provided all the awards and praise it's garnered, and all the hype that its second season trailer received when it debuted last week, but we should all be warned, just in case.

We don't know too many details of the new season of 'OITNB', but with Prepon back, at least we know this: Alex doesn't die.

The second season of 'OITNB' launches on June 6 on Netflix. Let the binge-watching begin.
