WATCH: New Full Trailer for 'Falling Skies' Season 4

We're just over two months out from the fourth season premiere of TNT's alien invasion drama 'Falling Skies,' and the fan anticipation is reaching a fever pitch. Each new batch of episodes always seems to raise the stakes that much higher for Tom Mason, his three boys, and the rest of the 2nd Mass. To stoke the fires, TNT has released a new, two-plus minute trailer for Season 4, and things are looking positively epic. Check it out below.

Pretty cool, eh? The most obvious development is that Tom and Ann's daughter Alexis has been aged about 10 years since we last saw her, which makes sense when you consider her genetics were tampered with by the villainous Espheni. Volm commander Cochise is also visible during a strategy session, meaning he must have elected to remain with the 2nd Mass for the long haul.

Amidst all the fighting, chaos and drama, one unexpected thing I noticed was the sight of Maggie planting one on Ben. Considering she's his older brother Hal's girlfriend, and the two have never shown interest in each other, I'm a bit perplexed as to what the context could be for that scene. A "we're both about to die" kiss, perhaps?

It also appears that Dr. Glass' recent experiences as a prisoner and a guinea pig have toughened her up a bit, as most of what we see Ann doing in this trailer is toting a gun or making threats of violence. This is a stark contrast to her previous status as more of a "team mom" then anything else.

'Falling Skies' Season 4 premieres Sunday, June 22 at 9/8c.
