The multi-talented comedienne and actress Sarah Silverman is taking yet another dramatic turn and returning to the small screen, enlisting on Season 2 of Showtime’s ‘Masters of Sex.’
Silverman will portray the character of Helen in a recurring role this forthcoming season, however little else is known about this role at the time – other than she will have something to do with sex.

The actress joins the period drama led by Michael Sheen and Lizzy Caplan who together portray sexuality researchers and pioneers William Masters and Virginia Johnson. The drama chronicles their intertwined professional and personal lives as they set off a sexual revolution and become scientific stars in their own right.
The series, created by Michael Ashford, is an adaptation of a Thomas Maier book of the same name, subtitled, ‘The Couple Who Taught American How To Love.’
Silverman was most recently on television with an intimate HBO stand up special ‘We Are Miracles,’ and has also received Emmy nominations for Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for ‘The Sarah Silverman Program,’ as well as for guest starring on ‘Monk.’

As for dramas, Silverman was lauded for her performance in Sarah Polley’s 2011 feature ‘Take This Waltz.’
Production is currently underway for Season 2 of ‘Masters of Sex,’ with the premiere airing on Sunday, July 13 at 10/9c following the Season 2 premiere of ‘Ray Donovan.’
