Frankie Muniz was born in December 5, 1985, in Ridgewood, New Jersey. After his parents divorce, he moved to California with her mother. He appeared in several commercials. He made his film debut with the movie To Dance With Olivia (TV only). He had a small role in the movie Lost & Found, which led him up to the breakthrough role.
When Fox premiered Malcolm in the Middle, in 2000, 23 million people watched the first episode, and 26 million people the 2nd one. Muniz role as Malcolm, the narrator and protagonist of several episodes, combined with the show's popularity made him extremely popular in short time. He doesn't consider himself a comic actor, even if the millions of fans over the work do. he was nominated to the Golden Globes in 2000 and 2001, the Emmy Awards in 2001 and he was honored with the Hollywood Reporter "Young Star Award" for his role in the series.
Besides "Malcolm in the Middle", Muniz acted in several shows like Lizzie McGuire, Sabrina, the Teenage Witch, MADtv and others.
His first starring role in a film was "Willie Morris" in the movie My Dog Skip (2000). He also starred the movie "Big Fat Liar", which was not very succesful. His most important role was in Agent Cody Banks, as well its the sequel, Agent Cody Banks 2: Destination London, teaming with Hillary Duff.
He said that he will retire from traditional Hollywood movies.
