Dickie Davies (1)

Suffered a stroke in the late 1990s, which initially affected his speech, although he has now made a full recovery. Following World of Sport's demise in the 1980s, Davies was still seen as an occasional presenter of such annual sporting events as the FA Cup, while also branching into gameshows with a sporting theme. More recently, he has worked as a DJ for the radio station, Classic FM. Famous for his silver hair quiff, a feature parodied at the time by many comedians, in particular Benny Hill.
