Alexis is of Russian descent, he was born in Salisbury Maryland, raised in Seattle, Washington and spent 3 years studying at the London Academy of Music & Dramatic Art.

Alexis is most well know for playing "Wesley Wyndam-Pryce" in both the "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" series and the "Angel" series and he married one of his co-stars on Buffy in Alyson Hannigan 11 October 2003.
