Corin Nelson is an Emmy Award winning executive producer & creator of unscripted television shows, specializing in talk, game and reality formats. Most recently, as part of her overall development deal at MTV, Corin created, executive produced and served as show runner of "It's On With Alexa Chung", MTV's summer-long, LIVE, daily talk show. Prior to joining MTV, Corin created, launched and served as executive producer/show runner of "Chelsea Lately", E! Entertainment's wildly successful, late-night, talk show.
From 2005-2007, Corin was an executive producer at NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution, where she created and developed unscripted shows for cable networks. In addition, while at NBC, Ms. Nelson was the executive producer/show runner of the nationally syndicated talk show, "The Megan Mullally Show."
Prior to joining NBC, Ms. Nelson had an overall development deal with Telepictures Productions (Warner Bros.), where she created and developed original programming for syndication, primetime network & cable. As part of that deal, Ms. Nelson served as executive producer on a number of pilots and presentations including, the "Tyra Banks Show" pilot and as executive producer/show runner of the syndicated "The Sharon Osbourne Show."
Corin's relationship with Telepictures Productions began in NYC, when she was supervising producer/show runner of their hit daytime talker, "The Rosie O'Donnell Show." During Nelson's five seasons at "Rosie," the strip won five Daytime Emmy Awards for Best Talk Show.
Ms. Nelson also worked for several years at VH1, where she created and produced original programming and supervised production of the network's hit franchise, "VH1 Goes Inside." She began her career in entertainment publicity, running New York and Los Angeles publicity departments for Columbia Pictures, Tri-Star Pictures, Gramercy Pictures and Savoy Pictures.
