Oscar Gutierrez Rubio

He has had the following in-ring name/nicknames of Colibri, Flying Fury, Lil' Rey, Rey Misterio, Jr., Rey Mysterio, Jr., Rey Rey and Super Niño.
Rey Jr. was trained for the squared circle by his father Rey Mysterio Sr. (Miguel Ángel López Díaz) and he made his in-ring debut at the age of 14 in April 1989 in Tijuana, Mexico because he was too young to wrestle in the U.S. yet.
He was also technically under the required age limit to wrestle in Mexico as well but that law was very rarely enforced. He debuted as Colibri, which means Hummingbird in Spanish beginning a feud with Psychosis (Dionicio Castellanos Torres).
When Rey turned 18 his father allowed him to use the family name and he began wrestling as Rey Mysterio Jr. eventually dropping the Jr. and using just Rey Mysterio. His first U.S. based promotion was in the ECW where he debuted in 1995.
He has feuded with Albert, The Basham Brothers, The Big Show, Chavo Guerrero, Chris Benoit, Chris Jericho, Dean Malenko, The Dudley Boyz, Jamie Noble, J.B.L., Juventud Guerrera, Kane, Kurt Angle, Matt Hardy, MNM, Randy Orton & Tajiri.
